football is a sport played by two teams trying to get a ball into the other teams "end zone"
to gain points. football is played mostly in america while other countries like canada, japan,
and other european countries like americas version of football mostly because they all strive to
be like us. even though soccer is known as football in other countries, america seems to not
care with their "who cares" attitude.
games like football can be traced all the way back to ancient rome, when they would use
severd heads of prisoners as a ball, and their widowed wives as prizes. these games are seen
all throughout history. in japan theres a game called "kemari" wich started in about 300bc, in
mideval england there was "mob football", and there has even been evidence of prehistoric
football-like games by north american indian tribes.
the first official organized games were in the 16th century, and king edward II tried ot ban
football due to its unruliness. later in 1800's rugby started, and then americans later created
their own version of a ball kicking sport which is unintellgently named "football" (you dont
really use your feet except to run) in 1920. people have been addicted to the sport in america
ever since. nowadays, football teams are a symbol of pride to whole cities, even states. and
the sport joins family and friends with the annual super bowl championships.
the sport of american football is a very barbarric, violent, and athletic sport. it takes ALOt
of brawn to be able to survive during a game, but it doesnt take ANY brain. the only person
with any sort of mental capacity whatsoever, is the coach. who tells the players where to go
and what to do. the players look at the plays, and nod their heads like they understand, but
when "HIKE" is called, they just run around like maniacs. the only way to play football with
the most amount of strategy is to play videogames like madden 2008. games of these sorts
use massive amounts of your brain, and NO physical interaction at all.
football has brought millions of people together as friends no matter what race, gender,
or sexual orientation they are, except raiders fans who discriminate from white people, and
patriots fans who discriminate gay people, but that is unimportant. what is important is that
football will continue throughout generations of americans as the sport that will not change its
name.
